Paul: I knew that some day real soon - real real soon it would happen. I knew he would sit on the potty to pee pee. And today he did - for the first time, he sat and and pee'd on the potty. Did you catch the order of wording? He sat and pee'd ON the potty. After I realized what was happening I showed him how to push it down so he would pee IN the potty. He did get a few dribbles IN the potty. Oh, but we did do the potty dance - we were excited and called daddy and MawMaw. And since Paul is not a man of many words yet he was able to get out - "Maw (or Daa) - pszeu" Did I ever share that it is hard to phonetically explain how Paul says something. But for both calls, he proudly pointed to his private area - knowing it did something special.
OK - the prequel to this story (is that how you spell it and is it really a word?) - Paul has made motions of being REAL ready for potty training for some time.
1. When he is going pee in his diaper he will often act bothered by it and point to his diaper area and act uncomfortable.
2. He has begun to dress himself. Yes, he can put on his pants, shirt and socks and shoes without help. (I am not saying that it is always on with the "tag in the back.")
3. Since I got out the little potty, he has begun to sit on it - with diaper still on of course, but he can pull his pants up and down.
4. When soiled, he will go get a diaper for me to change him.
He has had daddy, our young friend Evan (5) and also our little friend Michael (2.5) show him how to sit on the potty. I think he has had friends sit on the potty at school too because he will sit on it (still with clothes on) and grunt.
Anyway - I am proud of my boy - he is growing up so fast. OH YEA - for anyone who tells me that a girl is easier to potty train than a boy never tried to potty train my girl. I know we are only in the beginning throws of "potty learning" but so far it has shown itself to be easier with Paul - down to his interest.
Blessings!

Paul, yes I said Paul, called me last night to tell me he had used the potty. Oh, how I wish I had "see phone." I can only imagine where he was pointing. He just turned two. What a cutie!! Maw Maw

Okay Paul,
